locstars.ai is operated by Locstars LLC, a translation and localization company with offices in Sacramento, USA, and Giza, Egypt. Locstars LLC decides how and why the personal data described here is used, which makes us the controller of that data.

What this policy covers
This policy covers the locstars.ai website, its forms, and the emails and calls you have with us about it.
When you become a client, the content you send us for translation is handled under our agreement with you and as described on our Data and AI use page. This policy still applies to the contact details of the people we work with.
What we collect
Details you give us in forms:
- Your name, work email address, company, and company website
- The languages, content type, and approximate volume you tell us about
- Anything else you write in a form
Text and files you send us:
- The source text and translation you send for a free check
- Files or links you send with a quote request
We ask you not to include personal data in this material. If it does contain personal data, we handle it as this policy describes.
Emails and calls: when you write to us or call us, we keep the message and the details you share.
Technical data:
- Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. It measures visits in aggregate, such as the pages viewed, the referring site, and the browser and device type, without building a profile of you.
- Delivering and protecting the site. Our hosting and spam-protection providers process technical data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and to block abuse of our forms.
We do not take payments on this site.

We don’t add you to a mailing list when you use a form. If we send marketing emails in the future, we will do so only as the law allows, and every one will include a way to unsubscribe.
AI processing of what you send
Text and files you send for a free check or with a quote request may be processed through business AI services as part of our checks. Content is processed only through business AI services whose terms bar training on it. A linguist reviews the findings before we send them to you.
We may screen free-check requests automatically against the limits on the free-check page. If we decline your request, you can reply to our email, and a person will look at it again.
Where your data is processed
We work from the United States and Egypt. The linguists and service providers who work with us may process data in other countries. When the law requires safeguards for international transfers, we put them in place. Contact us for details.
How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data for as long as we need it for the purpose for which we collected it: to answer your request, to manage a client relationship, or to meet legal obligations. After that, we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your data
- Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email info@locstars.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We respond within the time the law requires.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Protecting personal data
No way of sending or storing data over the internet is free of risk, so please send only what we need.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

This site links to other websites, including locstars.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
